Information for Karaoke – October 31, 2018

 

If you are planning on attending Karaoke, you may enter through the Back door at Fire instead of going through the security checkpoints listed below.

The City of Greenville wants to ensure that Halloween is a safe and enjoyable time for people of all ages. This year, Halloween festivities are planned in the Uptown District on Wednesday, October 31. A map of the designated event area is included on the back side of this handout. Here are some other things you will need to know. 

 
Street Closures 
Portions of Fifth Street and Cotanche Street in the event area highlighted on the map will be closed at 5 p.m. Evans Street will be OPEN to traffic during this year’s event. SEE ATTACHED MAP.
Checking Stations 
There will be three checking stations at entrances into the event area: 
-5th Street & Reade Circle 
-5th Street & Evans Street 
-Cotanche Street & Reade Circle 
Checking stations are optional; however, if someone does not wish to go through a checking station, they will not be allowed into the event area. For security reasons, no weapons (real or costume), anything that can be used as a weapon, or masks are permitted. Uptown employees can use the entry pass issued by Greenville Police to park in the ECU Reade Circle parking lot adjacent to Sup Dogs. 
Parking 
All public parking lots, including Five Points Plaza and the 4th Street Parking Garage, will remain open on October 31. Parking is free in the Five Points Plaza lot at all times, and parking in the parking garage is free after 6 p.m. 
Transportation 
Please celebrate responsibly this Halloween. Uber pick-up and drop-off locations will be in the Five Points Plaza parking lot.
